Counselling and community for women 'coming out' later in life.

Affirming.
Exploratory.
Integrative.
Systems.
Feminist.
You may already know your truth and just need to find clarity and peace in your next steps. Whether you are preparing to come out, navigating a new relationship, or just taking small steps toward a life that feels more aligned, sessions will support orientation and empowerment tailored to your goals.
affirmation
Create space where you feel seen and validated in your questioning while normalizing the fluidity that can occur over time. Questioning is not failure. It is growth. Pressure to 'come out' or make any life changes is NOT required. Our focus is self-knowledge and personal peace - whatever that looks like for you. The exploration of sexuality can be uncertain, messy, dynamic and non-linear.
systems
Systems perspectives recognizes that our identities are shaped within the social, relational, and cultural, and spiritual constructs we live and grow in (including our family systems). This approach helps us to understand how these systems may be influencing your inner truth and how we support you to navigate change with compassion and clarity.
intersectional awareness
Recognize how individual experiences including, age, race, culture, religion, and relationship status intersect with sexual orientation. Later-in-life questioning often carries unique layers of grief, shame, or liberation. No person's experience is identical to another and together we will explore and challenge how heteronormative culture shapes our lives, expectations, and experiences.

LGBTQ+ affirmative counselling is based on a synthesis of theory, evidence-based models, and ethical principles that helps operationalize non-discrimination and the awareness-knowledge-skills-advocacy. Sessions support clarity, momentum, and connection.
